I love how the animals always wake up happy and eager for the day. (food) Eager to live and do what they do. It is a beautiful thing. Morning chores is a great way for me to wake up. Even though I drag myself out there I’m always feeling good on the way back in.
It’s a reminder to me to live eager for the duties of each day.
There are many times when I think that it would be convenient if we didn’t have a small hobby farm but having this gentle reminder every day makes it well worth it. It is a good way to get fresh air and a little activity in the early morning as the animals and birds don’t like to be penned up after the first signs of sunlight. We weaned the baby goat last week and he seems to be just fine without a bottle.
Mark and I planted onions and potatoes on Sunday evening. I’m glad we did as it is raining today.
Elsie’s Easter and Elsie’s Easter Coloring and Activity Book (affiliate links) are available to purchase now on Amazon. There are still some coloring pages on the website ready to download and print if you would rather do that.
I’m inspired about how eager the animals are for the day. From the youngest to the oldest they love doing what they do. Children seem to be that way too. Up and going from early morning until they drop. What inspires you? Tell us in the comments. Life on this little hobby farm is about to get busy with spring finally waking up, I will try to keep you posted weekly on what is going on here.
