Chloes first summer camp.
We had a difficult time making this decision together, but we all decided to be brave and leave her at the camp for 5 days.
I took this picture as we were driving away, down the hill. This is the cabin that she would call home for the week.
Then we drove to the neighboring state park where our camp was set up.
Please don’t laugh at us?
OK, go ahead and laugh.
It’s a beautiful little campground on a very still lake.
After we got settled in, Mark decided to go home to fix the air-conditioner at the house.
So I was left alone at this beautiful place for a few hours.
I ate the chocolate ice cream.
Then I went for a walk to take some pictures and thank God for the beauty and peace.
In the morning the water lilies were blooming all over the lake. It was beautiful to see.
I thought things were going pretty well for Chloe since we hadn’t heard from her.
We packed up and were ready to pull out when I got her call.
Migraine.
So we brought her home and she slept it off.
She is sad about missing camp so we are taking her back and will set up our camp again.
Mark will go to work and home to do chores and I will bring my car so that I can drive up and down the hill to her camp as needed.
I am bringing all my paints, brushes and sketch books.
I’m rather looking forward to the downtime.
I will be getting her at night so that she can sleep in the camper and will take her back up there in the mornings.
Hopefully she will have a wonderful time.
Love and blessings,
Hanna
