I have everything I need

It’s the end of September 2024 and I’ve taken a long break from my blog and website. After my last post I suddenly became unwell again and it took me until early 2024 to start feeling better. In the spring I changed my diet and began to take back control of my kitchen and my health. I am now eating a diet very close to a Mediterranean diet, though I haven’t been to the Mediterranean Region to experience the food and customs of the people there, I do have internet (Google) and I also have Amazon as though those two elements can in anyway compensate for my lack of exposure. Mostly, I think it’s a large variety of vegetables with some fruits, fish, other seafoods, meats, eggs, a little cheese, sourdough breads, grains and beans and a good olive oil. So really, it’s food. Not manufactured food but real food, from the earth and sea. Plus, you have to walk a lot and drink lots of water. I began to feel much better.

Idaho

Idaho with the moose

In July I went to Idaho to spend time with my daughter and her lovely family.

Alberta, Canada

Northern Lights
Northern lights in the north country. The best I knew how to capture on my cell phone.

In August I spent the whole month in Alberta with my sister and her lovely family, I was also able to spend time with my brother and his family in his home.

London Ontario, Canada

Margret's Fruit stand

In September I stopped in for a week with my eldest sister in Ontario, Canada. I went around with her delivery produce to her fresh market stands. It was so great to get to ride along with her as she did her work.

Home at Last

Home to Ohio

Mark met me at the border in Detroit, Michigan, and we drove home together. How lovely it is to be home, and how energized and motivated I am to build my business.

One day I was thinking about how much better I am feeling compared to a year ago, or even 6 months ago and with everything in place for my pattern design work and with tons of pictures and sketches to make patterns with I will have a very busy fall and winter. I have a wealth of inspiration to share with you over the next months. Several things are in the works that I’ll be sharing with you as I get more information about them. I’m hoping to take time to write posts more regularly. I so appreciate you reading my posts.

Gardening

Peppers from the garden

I didn’t get much gardening done this summer, but Mark grew a couple of pepper plants which did quite well, and we are enjoying the benefits of them right now. We’ve had stuffed peppers and stuffed poblano. I like to cut peppers up for salad as well.

Books I’m reading:

  • Mastery by Robert Greene, such a good book and I’m loving it.
  • Artpreneur by Miriam Shulman also loving it.
  • Good Energy by Casey Means MD also a really good read.

I found all these books on Amazon.

Thank you for reading my blog post. If you enjoyed it, let me know in the comments and also if you’ve been reading anything interesting lately. Did you go anywhere special this past summer? Let me know in the comments.

Love and blessings, Hanna
