Stripes and Checks

Last week has been full of wonderful things. New pattern proofs came from Spoonflower, the rest was normal wonderful things. It always takes my breath away when I see the proofs. I have to let myself calm down before I really look at them. For now, I am not seeing any problems with them, which is a first for me.

Coordinating designs.
Other ones that I love, though they don’t quite work with the first set. I do have plans for them.

The stripes came from a set of watercolor stripes I painted in 2016. After cleaning it up and vectorizing it I colored them using the same palette I created in illustrator last year.

They don’t look like much really. This was an exercise in controlling the thickness and thinness of the lines, the amount of water as well as changing color gradually.

My instructor suggested painting lines and scanning them and I remembered having done that just 5 years earlier.

Even though I only used the top 12, the rest of them are waiting for their turn. What a great journey this has been.

I’m keeping this fairly short because it’s easier to write more posts if they aren’t too long.

I do hope you are all well and finding your moments which take your breath away, in the best way.

Until next time, love and blessings, Hanna
